The TY Danjuma Foundation (TYDF) with its Board of Trustees visited some project sites in Nasarawa state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as the Foundation enters its third year of responsive grantmaking. The aim of the visits was to showcase some of the 2010 interventions of the Foundation in Nasarawa state and the FCT.

The project sites visited were: a primary school in Dako community of Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, where the TYDF partnered with Total Child Care Initiative (TCCI) to construct the first ever school the community has ever had; and Government Junior Secondary School, Alushi, Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa state, where the Foundation is funding Community Based Care Support (CBCS) programme of the Catholic Diocese of Lafia, to provide scholarships and care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children.

The two grantees, TCCI and CBCS have also received grant awards to continue with the good work in the 2011 TYDF Grant Cycle.
